Sensate Focus began as a series of exercises developed by Masters and Johnson. They guide partners in paying increased attention to their own senses of touch, smell, sight, hearing and taste. These exercises can add variety and heighten awareness.
They may seem simple, but can server a a pathway to understanding and improving a couple's relationship because they allow experimentation under safe, controlled conditions. Practicing these exercises can influence sexual functioning in positive and dynamic ways.
In this course, we will review sexual anatomy and the sexual
response cycle. We will explore the erotic potential of the head and
body caress, and we will increase knowledge of the human anatomy as a
means to increase sexual pleasure through explicit guided exercises.
